THINGS WORTH THINKING ABOUT.
GOOD MORNING, GENTLEMEN!
We don’t just think about what you wear. We think about what you wear against your skin.
What we wear every day. And rarely question.
THE FIRST THING YOU PUT ON.
We spend a surprising amount of time thinking about some pieces of clothing. And remarkably little about others. Strangely enough, the things we wear closest to our skin often belong to the second category.
So what really makes good men's underwear?
Soft fabric, a comfortable waistband and a fit that moves with you. Sounds simple. But behind it are a few decisions worth thinking about.

Why men's underwear deserves more attention
WHY YOUR UNDERWEAR DESERVES MORE THOUGHT.
You can spend an entire evening discussing mechanical watches. At least half an evening debating the merits of Goodyear-welted shoes. And anyone who has ever found the perfect white T-shirt knows that simplicity can be a surprisingly complicated affair. We pay attention to materials, cuts and details. Not necessarily because anyone else will notice. But because we know the difference ourselves. That attention to detail shouldn't stop at men's underwear. After all, it's usually the first thing we put on in the morning, and one of the few things that stays with us throughout the day.
What makes men's underwear fit well?
CLOSER THAN ANYTHING ELSE YOU WEAR.
Some days, there are plenty of things to think about. Your underwear shouldn't be one of them.
It sits directly against your skin, accompanying you to the office, on your travels, during workouts and through days that turn out longer than expected. It should provide support without feeling restrictive. Move with you without riding up. And feel so natural that you barely give it a second thought. Sounds obvious. It isn't. Whether underwear can deliver on that promise comes down to more than size and cut. It starts with the material and ends with details you only notice when they're missing.

Waistband, seams, label: What really makes boxer trunks comfortable.
THE DETAILS YOU DON’T SEE.
An elastic waistband is just an elastic waistband? Until you wear one that digs in or rubs against your skin. Especially for sensitive skin, seemingly small details can make a considerable difference. That's why we paid particular attention to three details in our Essential Boxer Trunks :
- The waistband. The wide elastic waistband is fully covered in the same soft SEACELL jersey as the rest of the garment. So it's the fabric that rests against your skin, not the elastic.
- The seams. They're concentrated around the contoured front panel. We've eliminated additional side and back seams. This not only makes the trunks more comfortable to wear but also reduces visible seam lines under clothing. Especially beneath slim-fitting jeans or tailored trousers, details like these can make a difference.
- The label. Instead of a sewn-in care label, we print the care instructions directly onto the inside of the fabric. Nothing scratches, nothing gets in the way. And there's no need to reach for the scissors.
Nothing revolutionary. Just three considered decisions that make a difference in everyday life. Precisely because, ideally, you won't notice them at all.
And then there's the matter of the fabric.
What is the best material for men's underwear?
MATERIAL MATTERS.
Seaweed probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you put on your underwear in the morning. Perhaps it should be.
Because sometimes, finding the right material means looking a little further afield. In our case, all the way to the North Atlantic.

SEACELL: The fibre made with seaweed
SKINCARE YOU WEAR.
What does seaweed have to do with good men's underwear? Quite a lot, as it turns out.
SEACELL is a cellulose fibre that incorporates seaweed from the fjords of Iceland. This seaweed is naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and trace elements. What makes SEACELL special is that the fibre brings the natural, skin-caring properties of seaweed directly into contact with your skin. The skin's natural moisture enables the exchange of valuable substances. SEACELL also has antioxidant properties and can neutralise free radicals. A fibre that doesn't simply rest against your skin, but interacts with it.
For our Essential Boxer Trunks, we use a jersey made from 96% Lyocell (SEACELL) and 4% recycled elastane. Both knitting and garment production take place in Portugal. The result is an exceptionally soft, bi-stretch fabric that feels smooth and comfortable against the skin. For men with sensitive skin in particular, choosing a soft material that feels gentle and minimises friction is especially important.

Trunks, boxer briefs or boxer shorts: Which fit is right for you?
FIT IS PERSONAL. COMFORT SHOULDN’T BE.
Some men swear by boxer briefs, others prefer classic boxer shorts, while others favour the more compact cut of trunks. A matter of personal preference.
Boxer shorts generally have a looser fit, while boxer briefs are close-fitting with longer legs. Trunks combine a close fit with shorter legs. Ultimately, everyone has to decide which style suits them best. But whether underwear really fits well often only becomes clear once you start moving. A waistband that doesn't dig in, leg openings that sit comfortably and a cut that works with your body make all the difference. Because a good fit shouldn't be a matter of personal taste.
Our Essential Boxer Trunks were created with precisely this in mind: a modern cut, a contoured front panel, fewer seams and a soft, fully covered waistband. Combined with an exceptionally comfortable, bi-stretch jersey with skin-caring properties.
No more complicated than necessary.
The best underwear is the kind you forget you're wearing
LOOKS GOOD. FEELS EVEN BETTER.
Good underwear should feel so comfortable that you barely notice it throughout the day. But when you put it on, there's nothing wrong with appreciating how it looks. Because aesthetics matter, even in a garment that nobody sees most of the time. A clean silhouette. Carefully selected colours. A minimalist design that leaves out everything unnecessary. Underwear that doesn't demand attention, but still has a point of view.

Good men's underwear starts with the essentials
EVERY OUTFIT STARTS UNDERNEATH.
We believe the things we wear every day deserve more attention. Better materials. More considered details. And standards that go beyond what others can see. Because before we think about what the world sees, there's something we put on first. Something we feel directly against our skin.
WHAT YOU WEAR FIRST MATTERS.
